What a trip! Jeff and Leslie got to spend a week in Bali (plus ~2 days of travel time on each end to get to/from there) and it was fantastic! Jeff won an award at work and we got to be part of his company’s annual “Winner’s Circle” trip with 70 (!) of his colleagues plus each of their guests (!!).

It was quite an experience, as the pictures and video to show — to much to try and capture briefly in words but we enjoyed a few days outside Ubud (serene, scenic, lush) and then a few days in Seminyak (beach, more of a tourist/party vibe). Highlights included: mountain cycling, visiting an elephant preserve, a VW Thing tour, visits to a coffee plantation and rice paddies, shopping in Ubud, plenty of time at the pool, visits to Hindu temples, attending a dinner performance of traditional Balinese music/dance, whitewater rafting, surfing, a fire dancer performance, exploring the back streets of Seminyak, and beautiful sunsets.

Most pictures were taken by Jeff, but credit for the really nice ones goes to Jeff’s colleague Andrew, and some come courtesy of the surf photographer.
