Else 90th Birthday weekend: Feb-Mar 2015
This past weekend we traveled to Atlanta for a momentous occasion — Jeff’s Grandma Else’s 90th birthday! It was quite the occasion, and not only did we get to celebrate with Else, but with most of the rest of Jeff’s side of the family. It was extra special because it was the first time that everyone (except GiGi and Grandpa) got to meet Han!
We landed late Thursday night and spent Friday at Aunt Debbie and Uncle Nick’s house waiting for the rest of the family to arrive. We went over to visit Grandma Else for a bit but otherwise just hung out around the house having a good time. On Saturday Uncle Nick arranged a special treat and (most of) the kids went to Dunkin’ Donuts to decorate their own donuts. Saturday evening we had a party for Grandma Else, complete with cake and presents and dancing. Sunday we went to Uncle Nevin and Aunt Gail’s house, in part to see their new puppies! Then from there it was back to the airport and back to St. Louis.
Of course when you have this many people together you get a TON of pictures and video — almost 500 from I-don’t-know-how-many-cameras. We haven’t even had a chance to go through them all yet, but they do a pretty good job capturing the special moments.
There are too many pictures from this album to display them all here, so what you see below is just a selection, but you should probably go to the SmugMug gallery to see them all, download the photos or order prints.
