Brynn’s First Haircut: April 2013
We’ve needed to get Brynn a haircut for a while. In particular, her bangs have needed a trim and she regularly has to brush them out of the way. Mom had done some minor informal trimming at home, though nothing significant. It was time for Mom’s haircut, so we loaded up the whole fam and made an afternoon of it. Neither Esme nor Brynn was in the mood for haircuts when we arrived, so first Dad had to get his “hair” “cut” to encourage them. Then, Dad and Brynn went to the cookie shop across the street to pick out cookies that would be rewards for when the kids cooperated. (We’re not above bribery. Plus we wanted cookies too.) Esme did well, like she normally does, and once Brynn had her hand-selected baseball cookie in hand, it was her turn. Kudos for Alison for being able to do such a great job while Brynn was eating, and moving around, and pushing her bangs out of the way, and since Brynn refused to wear a smock. The resulting bangs are probably more function over style, but they’re starting to grow on us (pun intended).
